Coming Up at New Hope:

BEACON school Supply Drive – Bring in your donations for the annual school supply drive for BEACON! We are collecting all types of school      supplies, but New Hope is responsible for pocket folders and zipper binders. All donations can be left in the back of the sanctuary. Financial donations to help purchase supplies can be left in the offering plates in the windows or in the offering plate marked “School Supply Drive.” 

The American Legion Auxiliary is hosting a blood drive on Saturday, August 13th from 8:30 am to 2:00pm at the Legion. –  The demand for blood is high for the month of August.    Donors must be at least 17 years old.  There will be a nice gift for donors, but the best gift is knowing that you will be  helping to save a life!  Please contact me to schedule your appointment by PM on  Facebook or email me at Auxunit96@gmail.com.  

End of Summer Joint Worship Service:  New Hope,  Jefferson, Doubs/Epworth Unted Methodist Churches-  Sunday, August 14th at 10:30am – at the Doubs Parsonage (5551 Doubs Road, Jefferson, MD)   Hamburgers, hotdogs, and beverages provides. Bring a dish to share and a lawn chair.  

Church Picnic and Scouting Celebration– Join us August 27th out at the  Olive School Road Property from 4pm to 7pm for our church picnic and  Scouting Celebration. Games Start at 4pm, with dinner and then s’mores and snow cones. Looking for a leader for the Fifth Sunday Breakfast – Pastor Katie and Laura are out of town.  We need someone who is willing to handle table and chair set up, setting out of all breakfast foods and paper/plastic products, and ensuring clean up and take down after.  Without a leader we will need to   cancel the July 31st fifth Sunday breakfast.  Please contact the church office for more details.
