Youth Group Chili Cook-Off –  The youth group will be holding their annual chili cook off January 21st from 4-6pm. Sign up now to put your chili recipe to the test. Please sign up on the sheet at the back of the sanctuary or email Katelyn at katelynpritchard1@gmail.com

Congregational Care Ministry Classes – (CCLM’s) are members of our faith community who are called upon to walk alongside those who are facing    challenges in their lives.  Whether it be visiting the sick or shut-ins, aiding folks in times of grief, or just being a caring presence for someone. If you feel called to this ministry of presence please contact the church office to register for training or sign up at the back of the sanctuary.  We need to know by January 19th if you are planning to attend. Classes begin on  Sunday, January 29th and will go for 7 consecutive weeks.  Class meets for 2 hours, from 3-5pm. If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact Pastor William or Pastor Katie. 

Elem/Youth Tubing Event Calling all winter sports enthusiasts –  The New Hope Youth Group and Elementary Youth Group will be taking a trip to Boulder Ridge Snow tubing at Liberty Mountain Resort Sunday February 12.  We will meet at the church at 2:00 to carpool to the resort. All family and siblings are welcome. Please let Pastor Katie or Katelyn Pritchard know if you plan on attending.

Choir –  rehearsals are on Thursdays at 7pm in the Chapel/Choir Room.  All are welcome. 
 

Spring Women’s Retreat – March 24th– 26th. Theme this year will be “Sweet Life Café” Where Women Savor Time With God. Mt. Aetna Camp and Retreat Center in Hagerstown, MD. 2 nights (Meals on Sunday and brunch Sunday included): $120 shared ; $160 single. Day rate $65. Please register with the church office or sign up at the back of the Sanctuary. Registration is due by March 10th.

Monday Night Book Club reading “In The Grip of Grace” by Max Lucado. Meets the second Monday of every  month  at 7pm. See  Sherrie Orvis for details.
Half Truths Sermon Series Bible Studies this January. There are several different ways to participate in Bible Studies for this Sermon series:
1. Sunday mornings at 10am starting January 8th in the Fellowship Hall with   Pastor Katie.
2. Wednesday nights at 7pm at Jefferson UMC in Jefferson, with Pastor William.
